"For several years now, I have been driving through the Crowsnest Pass on my way to British Columbia and I’m always glad to see that the ancient Burmis tree is still standing where it has been for hundreds of years although the village of Burmis vanished long ago. The tree is one of those old friends that I visit on my journeys every summer. I enjoyed paying homage to it by way of this large canvas."
A Canadian landscape oil painting by a well-known Canadian artist - Michael Everett Glover.
A semi-abstract oil painting landscape depicting a lone Burmis tree viewed from the vantage point of a bare rock with majestic mountains in the background and a threatening sky overhead. The location of this work is the Crowsnest Pass in South-West Alberta.
