Artist's Comment

"A little blonde girl, somewhere in the Great White North, wearing her red mittens and her POOK toque finds herself on land looking across an ice flow. On the floating island of ice, a polar bear looking to make it to land, coming face to face in a stare down, the two are inquisitive and wanting to learn more about one another. Each standing their ground, there is a curiosity and respect for the other. The girl showing bravery renders the polar bear gentle as the two stare each other down. A different kind of face-off, on the ice in Canada."
